The Art of Design: Rendering Possibilities for a Luxurious Palm Beach Home

1.5 min read time

While a staged house looks nice for listing pictures, a property that has been meticulously designed by an interior design team based on personal taste and collections will take the property to the next level. We were invited to work on this project by the developer to show how the home might be lived-in once the staging furniture moves out and the new owner moves in.

The property: Designed by Marian Sims Wyeth and re-imagined by Jane and John Volk, this property in Phipps Park is the epitome of old school charm and newer age style. Sims and Volk are Palm Beach icons and this property embodies their design approach and overall style. And as it sits today, the almost 10,000 sq ft in-town estate recently underwent a fresh makeover to bring it into a new era. It resides in Palm Beach’s first historic district: Phipps Park.

The design: The team at Caroline Rafferty Interiors developed two distinctively different approaches for this property. Through the use of photo realistic renderings, we designed a “Classical Palm Beach” look and a “Globally Inspired” look. The renderings allow the prospective buyers to travel forward in time and envision themselves living in this high end home. At times, its hard to tell the difference between rendering and reality. The photo realistic renderings are a remarkable asset to the design process. Please take a look at both styles in the galleries.

While we love the two concepts, it can be daunting to think about appointing a property of this size. We feel like renderings and inspired approaches can help buyers realize that it is easy with the right partner.

So, while this project is a little outside of the *norm for us, it was an absolute pleasure to work on and we look forward to designing with the buyers of this incredible Palm Beach property on an interior design plan that matches their style and incorporates their collections to truly elevate the space.

*The “norm” for Caroline Rafferty Interiors is to work with clients in the early phases of design/build or renovation OR on acquisitions that need a refresh or an updated approach that matches their style a little closer.
